Boatracs provides a variety of services and software to help you get your message across reliably and with maximum efficiency.

Message Relay Services

Phone: Our two-way messaging service relays voice messages worldwide via our 24/7/365 Network Operations Center (NOC) operator. Users can also use our 800 number to dictate messages to be transmitted to the NOC operator and sent via satellite.

Fax: Send or receive messages from any facsimile number in the world. Onboard vessels, users complete a simple fax form and sent to the NOC for forwarding. To send faxes to vessels, messages can be faxed to the NOC for forwarding via satellite to the boat.

E-mail: Boatracs assigns each vessel a unique e-mail address, such as FVJasmine@boatracs.com, which lets the vessel exchange (send/receive) e-mail worldwide.

Boat-to-Boat: This popular feature enables boats equipped with our satellite terminal equipment to send/receive private communications with other boats rather than broadcasting conversations over Single Side Band or VHF radio.

Communications Software

QWIN (QTRACS® for Windows)
Wireless vessel tracking, communication and positioning via satellite for tugboat, towboat, fishing fleet and government vessels-Boatracs QTRACS for Windows (QWIN) uses the OmniTRACS system to communicate with vessels. It is your interface with OmniTRACS. QWIN runs on a PC network or standalone PC in your dispatch center. QWIN can be used to receive, create and send messages, copy and redirect messages and locate vessels. QWIN is very customizable; you can easily change information about your fleet including adding, deleting, or updating the information assigned to vessels that are added or deleted. Use QWIN to maintain two-way contact with your company's vessels 24 hours a day, and you can locate them at any time.

The BoatComm User Interface for Windows (WBUI) is a software program that allows you to send and receive messages via a computer instead of, or in addition to, the keyboard unit. An RS-232 cable is used to connect the computer to your QUALCOMM Mobile Communication Terminal (MCT) on board your vessel. With WBUI, you can send and receive both ASCII messages and binary files. This allows you to send and receive binary files of any type such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or databases.

Router
Wireless vessel tracking, communication and positioning via satellite for tugboat, towboat, fishing fleet and government vessels-BoatracsRouter is a software program developed by Boatracs to make the data exported from QWIN easier to use and deliver to other applications in your office. Router can write delimited data files to any valid path and file. Delimited files are easy to import into other "off-the-shelf" applications or into one of Boatracs' interactive custom software applications. Router also serves as the office side utility for sending and receiving binary files to and from the boat.
