Inmarsat-C
The Trimble Galaxy 7001 Inmarsat-C
satellite system provides two-way
data communications from virtually
anywhere in the world via satellite
to mobile earth stations. Inmarsat-C
terminals are simple, low-cost units
that are rugged and compact enough
to be hand-carried or installed
into any vessel. Both data and message-based
communications are supported.
Inmarsat B/HSD
Inmarsat’s land-and-sea communications
system, Inmarsat-B, provides two-way
digital, high-quality voice, fax,
and data transmission at 9.6 Kbps,
with optional high-speed data (HSD)
service available. HSD enables multiplexing
of voice, fax, and data signals
for optimal bandwidth efficiency.
